After much practise I can actually create a low poly model that looks like its intended shape =) yay go me. I'm getting better at texture mapping and stuff. But question is Does anyone know any good documents on Skeletal animation because I found quite a nice program called fragmotion. I'm not fond of blender because of its GUI just isnt "me-freindly" But I really need some articles on Weighted vertices and stuff on how smooth animations are created, how best to assign vertices and just general information. I've googled around and it doesnt seem fruitful so if anyone knows a great article / tutorial or 2 for animation I would love a good read =)
I suggest Anim8or. It's quite popular and has good documentation.

you mean the program anim8or? you cant assign vertices to bones or export the animation to be used in a game.
I dont know of any tutorials for fragmotion, but there is the zombie series on psionic3d.co.uk that shows how to rig and animate using Milkshape and CharacterFX.

I have followed the tutorial myself and made a simple running animation before deciding that modelling was really not for me and I'd be better sticking to programming [wink]

Psionic has great tutorials. But I remember characterFX being a pain the the but to use when i demoed it. However now that you point it out I might be able to use his CharacterFX tut in fragMotion. fragMotion's interface with the camera and stuff feel's like Milkshape which I'm used to using.
