Cool Beeson, thanks for the info and the link. I'll be sure to check it out some time.

Hows your piece coming along?
Ok, I guess it's my turn now...

I heard all people saying they were going to do metal, but I've only latin, western or jazzband[grin]. So I'll take that task. It turned out to be more punky, but here's the result:

mp3
midi

EDIT
Cewl, sean. That brink of time is just like the band "the black mages", with nobuo uematsu on the keys, composer for final fantasy[smile]. You should check that out sometime too.

-Stenny

P.S. I have no knowledge of mastering, smaples or whatsoever. I'm only 15 and never attended a real musiccollege ;). I'm actually glad I could turn it into an mp3. Never did that without problems :P. (Midi's before that).

What do I expect? A young man's quest to defeat an evil sorceror while discovering the truth of his origins. A plucky youngster attended by her brutish guardian. A powerful artifact which has been broken into a small number of artifactlets distributed around the world. What do I want? Fewer damn cliches. - Sneftel

maybe you spoke to soon haha I can't open the file : ( Is anyone else having problems? windows media player is what tries to open it and it says I need a codec. If you upload another file as a midi file I can play those too in case you can't get the mp3 file to work. Or maybe it's just me and everyone else is opening it fine.

damn it. I'll try and upload the midi then.

Keep in mind that the mp3 sounds way better (distortion being actual distortion and things).

finally got it to work, good work stenny I think some parts in the middle sounded a little sparce but it sounded good. So since you had a midi file version am I to understand you didn't play the guitar? just curious the sound wasnt to bad for a synth guitar (since I couldnt tell if it was synth or not in the first listen. What would be cool is if someone kept it fast or speed it up and add some metalesc harmonies playing the melody line. May take a bit more work than anyone wants to do though.

@rain 7. It helps clicking that link yes ;).

@JimWelch
Actually, I created it in Guitar Pro, which is mainly a midi program, but since version 5 it has a Real Sound Engine. When you switch that on you get real sounds )duh [grin]). Then I converted it to Wav, and then to MP3.

I know, a bit long-winded

My Jazz-Hop song, 'Amphibious'. =)

(not done yet, bass/rhythm guitar/lead guitar all recorded by me)

Edit: EQed the guitars, compressed the lead guitar, panned the keyboard and rhythm guitar - check the link)

And for the playing enjoyment of any jazz musicians, the chorus is:
F#maj7 Fmin7
G#min7 C#7 F#maj7
F#min7 B7 Emaj7
Cmin7 C(half-diminished)7 F7

Hihi, I liked that one. At first, I didn't recognize frog's theme at all, but when you listen carefully you can actually hear it's damn good stuffed into that song.
