Triangluating the position of the little balls would be very difficult. . . especially to the level of granualarity that would be needed.

There''s a pretty good quote from Game Design Secret of the Sages which [paraphrased] says "why should games be any different from movies, tv, books etc?" And I forget the rest.
There was an idea from somewhere for spellcasting that might apply here. Rather than click on a spell from a list the idea was that tracking the way the mouse moves would cast a spell. Sort of a way of implimenting the waving of the hands. If the interface focused on different movement patterns of the mouse rather than what was clicked on perhaps some sort of dancing effect or feeling might be achieved.
I disagree with Eight. TV & movies have been corrupted enough by the presence of this crap. Let us not let this happen to games! (How pointless/impractical/evil of an idea, anyway)

Me not wish I is one using program...

The best game is a game that isn''''t.

Black & White does this for spell-casting - they call it Gesture Recognition.

Depending on how accurately you draw the shape to cast the spell, the stronger the spell is. Quite frankly, I''m surprised no one has done this before, since I think that it only increases the immersiveness - no menus, no keystrokes - you never look away from the screen.

I''ll concede you have an interesting point there.

TV and movies have to a large degree been spoilt by "this crap", but it''s only because the producers etc. have handled the topic immaturely and exploited it. But I do think it is possible to create adult orientated games/movies/books that don''t ''destroy the fabric of our society''.

I don''t want gaming to be "corrupted" either, but do we try to make sure the subject is handled properly and allow it, or do we blanket ban everyone from going near it?

In the current climate, it seems like governments/moral majorities spoil it for everyone because of some bad apples. I dislike that even more.
