Most of the games that I make are 2d and require a lot of spriting. Unfortunately for me I'm not very good at creating sprites. I was wondering if there is some sort of resource that could help me learn to sprite in a certain style. Maybe a book or an online tutorial. There are two different styles that I would like to learn. The first one is a "Final Fantasy" like style like the sprites from FF IV, V, and VI. I would also like to learn how to create smoother sprites like this one that I created: Hosted by Putfile.com I need to learn how to create both character sprites and background sprites. A few weapons and items would be nice too. Any help that you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Googling for "pixel tutorial" or "pixel art tutorial" should give you a lot of links for how to create that style of art.
