I don''t know many about linux or X-window. but I have a server project which build by MFC for NT. I want to know if it is possible not change too many of the code and port it to linux?

Sorry when I ask off topic stuff, but for what do you need MFC in a server ??? A Win32 system service that just uses the pretty standard MFC CSocket class ?

I don''t develop it and I don''t know what''s the developer''s thinking, people who develop it using MFC but not use CSocket only normal winsock. And I receive the order that it need be convert to Linux version.

My questions was targeted on what parts use MFC. I can''t see any advantage of using MFC, so what parts of a server might use MFC ? I mean this is directly related to the porting effort.

Actually, I am studying the project now. Up to the current time, the major part is a CTreeView for user management.
