I heard that some videogame companies use a 3D scanner to scan human heads and/or bodies and create 3D models out of them instead of modeling them from scratch, saving them time. Does anyone know where you can purchase these scanners? And are there any recommended brands?

Unless your rich I dont think you can afford them? Expect to be paying thousands and thousands, I wouldnt be suprised if they range over 100,000 USD

Thank you, yes I am aware that it would cost me thousands of dollars (since we recently established a motion capture studio in our office for 80,000 USD). Right now I'm researching information on 3D scanning however I don't know where to start.
