I've been asked to look into the workings and costs of licensing a song for use in say a promotional/intro trailer for a game. I'm just wondering if anyone here has any suggestions/quick ideas for finding out what this would cost. I'm suffering from a frustrating headcold and I'm running out of time to find this out.. thanks :).

Isn't that kind of subjective? What's the budget? What's the quality/reputation of the track? How long do you need the license? How exclusive is the license (and when does exclusivity end?)?
