Has, anyone heard of Blender, it''s meant to be this new Software for creating games without the use of programming languages. Does this means C and C++ is dying? P.S: Why do birds suddenlly appear?
Blender, is a 3D modeling program similar to 3D Studio and Bryce.

The big difference is that blender is FREE.

It''s nothing to do with programming, it just has a scripting language of its own.

Blender is a 3d modeller/animation program (originally used for console develpoment if I remember right). From what I remember, it is free (as in beer - but you have to pay for the manual), used Python to export scenes (extendable export - good), and had a difficult user interface (I''ve heard it''s not so bad once you get used to it, but I gave up before that point).

I don''t think that it will kill C/C++ for game development, but I could see it being very nice for rapid prototyping for certain types of games.

Yer it is free. Good Point pwd, it might be a software for prototyping and animation.

A lot of the siggraph people over here swear by blender. It''s tiny and flexible.

The interface is archaic as hell, though. I''ll be the first to admit that it''s too complicated for me. I''ll stick to Maya.
Yeah, the GUI is pretty ugly...

Maybe this is normal and just shows how bad the GUI is, but for me, the "windows" in Blender act VERY wierd, making it impossible to do ANYTHING. I think it''s my video card but I don''t really know. So if you''re using a Voodoo card, you may have some difficulty using the program. From what I''ve heard though, it sounds like a very good 3D modeller

I have to say that once I got used to it I like the GUI alot... I know, it seems like hell at first but it grows on to you while you use it

"This album was written, recorded and edited at Gröndal, Stockholm in the year of 2000. At this point in time money still ruled the world. Capitalistic thoughts were wide spread. From the sky filled with the fumes of a billionarie''s cigar to the deepest abyss drenched in nuclear waste. A rich kid was a happy kid, oh..dirty, filthy times. Let this be a reminder."
