book for a newbie

i found this book on amazon.com. it''s called code complete and it''s about all the things i want to know more about, but it''s kinda old. from 1993 to be exact. do you think i should buy it or look for something newer? also, are there any books about oop and oop&c++? thanks in advance kavalants

It doesn't matter how old it is. I mean, Lord of the Rings is old, but it's still good, right? If you think the book covers everything you want to know, then get it

Muzzafarath: Actually, yes. Specifically about OOP and OOP w/ C++(but you should already know that).

Code Complete is required reading for any programmer, new or old. Get and read it asap.
