16bpp screen warping
Does anyone know how to do like a screen warp in direct draw with 16bpp?. Could I lock the surface and run a loop that could kind of move the pixels around?
Also check GameDev programming for the Water Special effect.
Warping looks impressive if done in a pattern rather than just noise.

I''ll also be loading up my RPG hex-tile game in the new year. I''ve abandoned it for Isotile but it''s got a lot of stuff I''ll be porting over to the new RPG engine.

how would I pull the pixels around one pixel like say I want a dragging effect that also pulls the pixels around the one Im moving?
Did you want to just mess with the whole path of dragging or have the original pixels restored after the dragging has left the immediate area?
