Seeking Wisdom of the Elders...
Hi, I''m not new to programming but I am new to game programming, or at least the kind of game programming I''d like to do. I''ve done some simple event driven games (card games, etc.), but I''d like to take it to the next level. I''m extremly interested in programming 2D style platform games & shooters. I''ve read a couple good books on the subject. However I think I should start off slow. Maybe with a pacman or scorched earth clone. I was hoping someone here could lead my in the general direction for success. I''d most likely be programming in C or Delphi, unless someone here can offer me a better choice, and any advice anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
P.S. If anyone knows of any open source pacman or scorched earth clones I could look at, please let me know. Even if they are not in C or Delphi.

You''ll find everything you need, including source for both those games and more in either C++, pascal, asm, and delphi.
