.X-File Problems...
Hello,
for our new engine we want to use the Micro$oft .X-File-Format. To create these files, we use 3D Studio Max. The problem: If I use the 3dsconv.exe (DX8 SDK), i get a absolutely wrong model.
I tried it again and again but it did not work, although it is a very, very simple model!
If anybody would like to help me (thanks...), download http://www.snowdesign.de/xenoage/temp/baum.3ds and convert it into .x, and then send it to andi@xenoage.de.
And if you success (i can't believe it... :-/ ), please tell me how to do it...
Thanks,
Andi

Hello,
it seems as if I''d solved the problem on my own :-)
Look at http://www.sonic.net/~jeremy/article-pathToX.shtml
And thanks to Al for his help :-)

while we''re on the subject of direct x, do you know of a viewer that supports animations? I can export my models to .x but I don''t know how to check if the animations exported correctly.
