Hi ! I''m a beginning student programmer, and I think I''v got a clue about PC games programming. But I really need some pieces of information about console programming. What''s different ? Which tools are used ? I would be glad if I could get these information in the week, for it is part of my homework for next week. Thanks !!! KIRKWOOD the frenchie !!!

It all depends on which console you''re discussing. Generally, though, consoles tend to have much less memory than PCs, lack a hard drive, minimal networking, slower CPUs, and dedicated graphics processors. Some of these things are changing a bit with the next-gen platforms (DC, PS2, NGC, XBOX), but they''re still generally true.

I can point out one website to you that discusses PSX development and tools: www.psxdev.de
