BIG files: continued

the file Came from a game called Command & Conquer: Generals. what I want to know is what audio editor is free, can you download it, and from where?

A good place to look is [google] and another is Sourceforge, specifically in the top downloads statistics page.

In just a quick browse of that statistics page i found Audacity.

Try opening the file with Winzip or Winrar, it may be a thinly disguised archive.
There is a BIG file extractor here. All it took to find was one google search ... BIG file command and conquer

google is your friend, try harder next time;)

if it's a .BIG inside of a .BIG, perhaps you need to extract the files from within the second .BIG?
