Did anyone play games on MSN game zone? When you launch the game, it automatically create a new game and omitted the opening movie and the main menu. I wonder how''d they do that?
They most likely use command-line parameters to tell the program to launch into a game automatically, along with the game parameters.

There are about 100 different games from different company,
I doubt if all the game have a command line.

Actually MOST do, mainly for debugging purposes. They can use switches to get into special places or modes to cheat the game easier to test it out.
Another thing they could be doing is running the executable directly, while normally trying to play the game locally is done either by inserting the CD (autorun comes on with movie/splash, etc...) or by running from an icon that is linked to a smaller exe that is only the movie/splash and then itself runs the actual game and kills itself.
