Comments - Game Music For Licensing?

Hi all I'm a professional composer and publisher in an area of the business far from Games Development! However, I was recently commissioned to compose some stuff for a film-related concept album that someone told me would be perfect for Games.... Would you be kind enough to take a listen (links below) and tell me if this is true? If so, I will attempt some marketing of my work in the 'Games' area, although my knowledge of the Games market is not good. All helpful comments/advice gratefully received. Ah well you know it doesn't really matter how far away you are from the actual industry. If you can compose, it's merely a matter of looking at the game you're composing for, getting into the story, feeling the mood, and composing something based off of your general notion.


I'll edit this post later with more comments. (I'm at school, and bell is about to ring)


EDIT* First of all, you're a good composer. I like your pieces you've posted here. What makes a song good for a video game is consistency. You shouldn't really have to many dramatic dynamic changes in it, because it will stop the flow of the game. The exception, of course, is for a cut scene.

I think Exodus would be ideal song for a futuristic adventure game, or RPG. It's kind of mellow, and laid back. Yet it's swift.

Yes, I think these could be worked into a game.


EDIT2* I'd also like to add that Exodus is a great song as well. It's definitely one of those action-movie trailers. Lot's of percussion in the beginning. Might be good for a game trailer as well

Vince - your thoughts are appreciated. Cheers. Yes - I had wondered if there were a little too many changes of direction. I think I might bear this in mind if I was writing a piece specifically for a game. Thanks.
