The though has been passed onto me that the fulcrum isn''t the best thing to use to describe a rule set/game mechanics. The reasoning behind this is that a rule set is dynamic <these days>. I sat on this for a 5 hours or so and i still think that it is. Why? Because i believe that this issue (using a complex fulcrum) is out of context. The model is a generalization where as using more descriptivness like having something that represents the game mechanics as a mechanical operation in itself is not relevent. Also i believe that a games rule set (fulcrum)doesn''t have to be mechanical or technical anyhow.

I was hoping that someone would be able to give some more weight to either side of this interesting debate. Any thoughts?
