Hi!

My name is Ryan Reilly and I am a music composer. I can write in many different styles. (Jack of all trades but master of none) lol

I am currently writing music for a few video games and could always take on a few more projects if the situation is called for. I am looking for small pay for my services...

I will be updating the music on this page every so often...

Arabia

I just started this tonight. Nothing much to say about it... It is supposed to denote a desert setting in an adventure game. This is a preliminary draft and its a piece that will loop.

Comment: I’ve worked on 18 projects and have done everything from providing SFX to voice acting, and arranging to composing full scores. I have industry experience on websites, PC, online and Nintendo DS titles. My music has also been heard on DVD movies, TV show ads and cable channels. I’d love to help out on your next project.
Any style is fair game.

Availability: I’m currently seeking new projects to take part in.

Here are some samples for you to check out:

Orchestral Sample Full orchestrated composition, fast and frantic. This, to me, sounds like a sword fight between two warriors.

Jazz Sample Smooth, jazzy groove that uses a Rhodes patch, piano, bass and drums.

Celtic Sample I played guitar, sung and orchestrated this Celtic sample. Violin has the melody.

Piano Sample Simple, but haunting tune that makes me think of a sad cinema from a RPG.

Laid Back Sample Tenor saxophone, violin and flute trade off with a steady groove in the back ground.

Alto Sax Sample Alto saxophone and organ take the lead while a bass line adds interest.

Ambient Sample Ambient piece that builds up slowly into a track that remains understated.

Tribal Drums Sample This piece takes a while to build up, but when the full percussion idea is in the mix, it moves nicely.

More music, pictures and my resume can be found at: Madsen Studios

I have experience working with ProTools, Logic, Sonar, Acid Pro, Soundforge, Reason 3, Cool Edit Pro and many plugins and VSTs.

Thanks for your time!

A wonderful thread! Thank you for creating this!

My name is Matti Paalanen and I'm 25 years old hobbyist composer from Finland. I'm currently part of Ultima IX Redemption -project and my responsibility is the production of the soundtrack. Because of work related schedules and ongoing projects I'm not currently available for other projects, but I'm definitely interested in collaborating with game projects in future when the real life schedules ease up a bit. One computer game related fact to mention: I picked appropriate tunes from my projects and put up an extra music pack for Elder Scrolls Oblivion, which has received quite warm welcome from the Oblivion gamers.

You can find my main project Celestial Aeon Project homepage here with all the mp3s available for download (I publish them under Creative Commons licence).

Here are a few links to various tunes:

Burn Them Down is quite straight forward battle tune with brooding atmosphere

Woods of Eremae was originally a competition tune for "mimic a composer" competition. I tried to mimic Jeremy Soule's minimalistic style he used on some of the tunes on Guild Wars soundtrack.

Through the Dark Portal is a bit experimental intense battle tune with sort of cacophonic structures.

Mont St. Joseph is quite folkish, medieval style background theme

Cherry Blossom is a trip to the orient, koto and shakuhachi duet.

Hopefully the soundscapes offer enjoyable moments!

Comment:
A lifelong musician who has one fifty awards and scored for the biggest possible directors. I'm bigger than big. What am I doing here? Just kidding. I have a bachelor's degree in music and I was a jazz studies masters student at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. I compose in all styles, like everybody else does. Member of GANG.

Availability: I'm currently seeking paying gigs, though that does not mean that it has to be big $$ up front; that is to say, I'm open to various forms of compensation... legal, that is.

Samples:

"Cailean Romance Theme" http://www.robhowardmusicproduction.com/caileanromancefinal.mp3

Orchestral love theme created for a Baldur's Gate: II mod.

"Orchestral Rock/Fusion Theme"

One of my personal favorites, as it actually -gasp!- doesn't sound like a John Williams retread! (-: Was written for a now defunct Half Life 2 mod.

How can I get a website to post a direct link for my music, since all I have right is the myspace connection? Any help would be nice.
