GDNet fonts are weird
Basically, when using Linux/Gnome/Firefox, my fonts are too big in GameDev. I haven't noticed this on any other sites in particular, so I'm wondering why what I type here is so huge. I have a complete set of fonts installed, that includes all of the fonts that Windows has, as well as all of the standard X11 fonts and a whole host of other fonts (read: every font package Gentoo has).
I think a screenshot will help illustrate the problem:

Try changing the monospaced font in the options.
Chess is played by three people. Two people play the game; the third provides moral support for the pawns. The object of the game is to kill your opponent by flinging captured pieces at his head. Since the only piece that can be killed is a pawn, the two armies agree to meet in a pawn-infested area (or even a pawn shop) and kill as many pawns as possible in the crossfire. If the game goes on for an hour, one player may legally attempt to gouge out the other player's eyes with his King.
Uh...what options?

You could also install the Microsoft Fonts on linux, i find them much nicer than the ones that come packaged with linux itself.
"apt-get install msttcorefonts"
HowTO
It was a little tricky to set them up but it was worth it.

He said he had installed every font package that Gentoo has, which includes the core fonts package. That said, I too, have noticed odd fonts on GDNet on my Gentoo installation--I usually just have Firefox use my selected fonts.
