They beat .mp3 for commercial products b/c they are free. They also have a little better compression. A lot of people don't care for them as much b/c they are not the "standard" yet, you know? Kind of like comparing .rar to .zip - .rar is better, but you have to have the special program for it, much like .ogg. That is the only real drawback to OGG, the end user must have the libraries already or you must include them.
