Think before posting...

I''m not sure that bz deserved such flaming. Posts like this are much more common on some other boards/newgroups and the purpose of them is to discourage annoying messages from people who haven''t read FAQs or bothered to use a search engine. Some newgroups do go over the top with this admittedly, but I see an increase in less desirable posts on this thread and it will get to the point where regular reader/posters become more and more tired of seeing the same things each week and go elsewhere.

Also, did anyone think that bz might have been a regular reader for many months before making a post? Being ''initiate'' doesn''t really have any relevance whatsoever. I didn''t even realize any scoring was going on any more.

The point bz was trying to make is quite valid. How many times do we get a question that could have been answered by other means? I''d like to make some suggestions...

a) This forum doesn''t seem to have an FAQ so maybe one should be drafted together.
b) The title of this thread ''think before posting'' should actually be displayed on the page where you type in your post. A paragraph to remind people to search the FAQ, search old posts for similar questions, use google before asking about ''does anyone know any good PS2 development website'', etc.
It''s better to ask than to not ask at all.
