I had the same problem as Gavin with my entry. I have scanned it with two different and updated scanners, but no virus is found so it is safe.

I have now resent it to llvllatrix, so hopefully he'll get it this time and get it out.

As for voting I think all forum visitors should be able to vote.
What about the following categories:

Best Graphics: (1 to 5)
Most Innovative: (1 to 5)
Most Complete: (1 to 5)
Most Festive: (1 to 5) - The theme
Overall: (1 to 5)

A modified version of the GDC categories that tgraupmann posted last week.

Endre

@esolem && Gavin

Just downloaded your new version: Serious speed increase. All modes run like a dream now. Well done on finding the problem [smile]

@Gavin
Thx for the file size suggestion :)

Will post a new thread at 6:00PM EST on NeHe forum. We should also let some of the winamp guys know what we've been doing. Does anyone know of a good forum?

Cheers,

The Winamp.com "Winamp Development" forum - maybe mail one of the forum moderators? Make a post on the Gamedev opengl forum - a lot of people there started with NeHe so might be interested. Mail one of the Gamedev admins. They might put it on the main page.

Of course, the more places you advertise it, the longer it might take to get judging finished. This also is more likely to attract "undesirables" (people trolling the thread, flaming etc.) All the entries have had a lot of work done to them and the last thing we need is some idiot who's never made a demo/plugin spoiling it for everyone with undue criticism [depressed] Maybe I'm a bit paranoid, but unfortunately that type of thing can happen.
Perhaps we should advertise our work after the contest has been judged?
I'm all for gamedev members helping out with the judging (not just those who frequent the NeHe forum), but good idea about advertising (on external sites?) after judging is over. That way we should get the best of both worlds: wider exposure an d constructive comments from others who are involved in graphics/gamedev etc.

Oh, and Matrix, do you still want us to clean up our code and resubmit our programs (for the ones who haven't bothered to add in the code already)?

Sure, if you have the time :) (very beneficial for the community),
