Yet another MMORPG game idea (River City Ransom)

I know you guys are probably getting tired of all these online game ideas, but what's one more? I probably will never get around making it, but I still think it's a cool concept. A 2d RPG that takes the gameplay from River City Ransom. Thats it. To elaborate, what I really like is the combat system. You can interact with the environment, you get weapons, you can modify your stats, but everybody is prety much equal. Adding NPC's would be easy, and combat free zones could be established, like the shopping area. What do you guys think?

Can you be more specific? I am confused what do you want feedback on? Here are some questions:

What kind of enviornment is it?
What weapons do you get?(types)
Are they guns, swords, magic?
How do you modify your stats?
If everybody is pretty much equal what is the competetion? What would be the rewards for the big gamer who spends ours playing?

Is River City Ransom a game? I have never heard of it, maybe you might want to describe that a bit more.

So pretty much it would be a 2D hobo-hotel meets PvP stratagy working?

If stats are pretty much equal then how could you say they were all that changeable?

...though i do not believe in what you are saying, I will defend your right to say it to my death!(no source sited)
Well, how the game plays is that you can buy items that empower you, such as give you more hp, increase your strength, give you new attacks, and such.
Please go download the game. It's hosted by gamespy so it should be legal.

and if stats are equal then how would one make money besides killling other charachters? will it be how you decide to use your money at the beggining?

would you have ants to attack or something?

would there be crafts?

Did you play the game? Yeah, primarily, you would get money from other people. This is a city. But, because everybody is going to be prety much equal, it wouldn't be a good idea to bully people.

I am also thinking, no leveling up, if you need to recharge a stat, you can go buy it. You could also just give people money.

yeah, everybody would start the game with say... 50 coins. Buying food and stuff would take money out of the economy, and money could be put back in by doing quests for NPC's or administrators.

In that case the quests would all need to be the same reward because stat differences are not very large...thus you would have a complete n00b and an oldbie fighting for the same quest and, because the oldbie has had more time, he would probably kill the n00b who would have just been in the way...

seniority is always established in games...
