Hello there, this is basically my first venture into model making, and I was looking for some feedback from those more experienced than myself. My idea for this project was to create a motorcycle frame based off of a reference image and possibly use that frame for future projects, i've done a lot of work to the frame, but it's still not exactly how i'd like it. I used Cinema4D to create the model. One question I do have for some of you that may have more experience is how might I go about blending all of these individual little bars i've built into one relatively uniform model? Right now the bars are just placed in the approximate location, i'm just unsure how to blend them together. Side view of model.Perspective view of model. This is the reference image that I used. Any feedback is appreciated and thanks for looking.
first: i'm not more experienced than you. or anybody.
second: i like what i see.
third: 1st and 2nd link point to the side view.

Woops, sorry about that, that's what I get for copying and pasting. Fixed link.

Thanks for the feedback though.
I use 3ds not cinema, but maybe a boolean operation? In 3ds you can also use the connect button. I guess it depends on how you want them to look. Here are some tutorials I found on cinema 4D. Im not sure if they will help you or not, but check them out :P

Sorry for lack of Cinema knowledge. I hope this helps you.
looks really good :) nice attempt my modelling sucks lol.

If you were trying to accurately model the frame obivously youve missed a bit of detail out :) but as it is its a good representation of it, good job!

The motorcycle frame looks fine but if you want it to look like the original you should respect the proportions (they're almost right but not quite). Also, I agree with grekster, you should pay attention to the details.
Anyway, it looks quite good for the "first modelling venture" so congratulations!

Thanks for all the kind words. I know i'm missing detail and was not exactly true to the picture. Some of this was intentional (like the curved center bar instead of a straight piece), some was unintentional, and some I haven't gotten to yet :-p. I'm pretty happy with it so far, but I still would like to do work to it. For those of you who have Cinema 4d and would like to play with this, use it, whatever, feel free. If you do anything with it, let me know, i'd love to see it. Please however don't pass it off as your own with no credit to me :). Click

Thanks for looking.
