Adding audio files to an AVI.
Hello, I am relatively inexperienced in manipulating AVI files so perhaps you could help me. I have a set of AVI's which animate buttons being depressed but which do not contain any sound. Is it possible to add an audio stream to an existing AVI file, and if so, what program(s) would I need to get hold of to do this?
Thanks in advance.

The free VirtualDub can do this quite easily. Just open the AVI, under video select "direct stream copy" (this avoids recompressing the video), and under audio select "WAV" as the source (you then select a wav file). If you want to make additional adjustment you can select "full processing" under the audio menu and then change compression method, convert the format, or if the audio doesn't sync with the video, select interleaving to change when the audio starts in relation to the video.
