Hmm, some more thoughts on sex in games. I think it would be good if there were games, which gave the feeling that sex was a natural part of the world / society, even if you don''t actually encounter it..
The MIND is the major erotic organ, stimulate the players using subtlety if for whatever reason you wanted to turn them on. In other words t''n''a / b''n''a may provoke a response in people, but sexual chemistry and innuendo is more suggestive (erotic).

But if ff7 was a dirty game, then(like most) you''d have to have(see scenes of) sex with both, I wouldn''t with Tifa(I promise Aeris!...hehe).
WHAT?? Did you get to have SEX, in Finla Fantasy 7???
That can''t be. Damn it, I stopped playing in the middle of the game.
"To some its a six-pack, to me it's a support group."
no, no sex in ff7...but i''m saying if ff7 had a sex scene like other games where you have to have sex with everybody, they dont give choices,....ff7 gave a choice(no outcome of sex)
of who you wanted to be with aeris or tifa...they didn''t force you to be with any of them either(i think)

If by sex you mean decent erotica, by all means, I want more of it in games...
As in - don''t give Lara Croft bigger boobs in the next installment of the game... just let her take off her gloves in a slightly more suggestive way. ( And yes, I''m serious ).
How about building up the sense that the characters around you are flesh and blood - they should have feelings like everyone else... and that does include romantic and sexual feelings. Heck, even Creatures had sex! Not that it showed you very explicitly, but it was most definately there.
People might not remember what you said, or what you did, but they will always remember how you made them feel.

It's only funny 'till someone gets hurt. And then it's just hilarious.Unless it's you.

In my opinion (and I think many agree) Lara''s boobs are ridiculously big as they are now. Disgusting, really.

I don''t understand why sex is so feared a subject in computer games. I don''t mean we should just randomly stuff some sex in every computer game, like in Hollywood movies today, but if it''s appropriate, why avoid it?

So how would one incorporate sex into a game? Games, by there nature, involve conflict. Violence is usually about conflict, so it''s easy to add into a game. Sex generally isn''t about conflict. It''s rarely about tradeoffs either.
Since when are games ONLY about conflict?? What about the education-games? What about card-games? Majong??? DUH.
You are also missing the point what SEX is opposite to LOVE or AFFECTION or even INTIMACY. The latter three are more than fysical. What you are all discussing here, is whether nudity and certain ''sexual'' or ''arousing'' objects should be in a game OR if there should be PORNOGRAPHY. The point is not if you should include ''erotic'' or ''sexual'' content, but what your story is. And what story you use, depends on what kind of game you want to make. Or the other way around, depending on your method. If your story includes visualisation of of sexual subjects, then who is to prove you wrong??

You really should read more Chris Crawford.
1. Card games are usually conflict, unless you''re playing solitaire. The point is to "win" from someone.
2. Entertainment without conflict is more often a puzzle, not a game.
And no, we''re not discussing story. We''re discussing sex. That you''re opposed to the idea is your perfect right, but stay out of the discussion then.
Sex is not opposite to anything either. It''s part of our natural biological drive to reproduce.
People might not remember what you said, or what you did, but they will always remember how you made them feel.

Sex is not a synonym for pornography, nor is it the opposite of love. As I said, I don''t think we should just stuff "pornography" in games, but if sex would be appropriate for the story, why avoid it like a plague?
