The only one that is close enough is the art institute
they have one in Ny
do they teach both 2d and 3d graphics
so going there will i learn to model 3d characters and worlds
and will i be able to draw and animate sprites as if i wanted to make a 2-d fighter
thanks for your help i will check that place out

They teach 2D & 3D, yes, but NOWHERE is going to teach you to do sprites unless it's SPECIFICALLY a game design & development program: DigiPen, Full Sail, eXpressions are your only real choices in N America, and even then, they concentrate more on 3D than 2D, because 3D is where the market is heading, despite GBA, mobile, etc. They'll teach you Photoshop, what you do w/ it otherwise is up to you, and they'll teach you drawing theory/technics: NOBODY can teach you to draw well and animate well, just the theory behind doing so. It takes YEARS of practice to do that kind of stuff, no matter who you are...
All teach, as far as I know, both 3DSMAX AND Maya.
