What's a good program to make game music with?

I''m not looking for anything terribly technical. I don''t have any midi keyboard or anything, and I know I can use virtual keyboards, but that''s not what I''m looking for. I like to just point and click to make my songs Currently, I''ve been playing around with the Quartet X2 Music Studio, which is awesome. It gives you a music score and alows you to simply pick the instrument you want to use and just place it on the graph (similiar to Music Maker the playstation, except you pick instruments and their note, not just beats). This program is very good, except for after you write some notes, then change instruments, there''s no way of finding out which instrument the other notes were "wrote" with. This is very annoying, as well as the editing is not done very well. I am looking for a program similiar to this (or like the Music Maker for PS), or any other simple music making program that includes the instruments/beats in it. Any suggestions? Cakewalk is pretty good for purely MIDI-stuff...you write out your songs in either pseudo-sequencer format or on an actual staff (which is kind of nice). If you''re into sequencers FruityLoops is awesome...and last I knew it had a pretty decent demo online somewheres.

I''ve tried a few others, but none were even the caliber of Cakewalk or FruityLoops, so that''s what I use now. SoundForge''s sound editting tools are unprecedented...they have a sequencer I think, but I''ve never used it.

Yeah, a staff, that''s the word I was looking for. I would like to use a program where you just throw the intruments/beats onto a staff then you can play them, and save your composition as a .wav. I went to www.cakewalk.com, but which program would I be wanting? They have a few to choose from: SONAR, Project5, Guitar Tracks, BBE, Auidio FX1/2/3? And I would like to do some midi stuff, but some just regular instruments and whatnot as well. Any other programs anyone can recommend?

cakewalk express.. im using that.. i used that to create my song, you can look into my post : My soundtrack To The End of Time. That song is made using cakewalk express ..
If you''re looking for something just to splash some beats and basses and stuff together, have a look at EJay. It''s all pretty point and click.

I think Acid is also really good and considerable choice.

FruityLoops (now FLStudio) is defintely the way to go. Almost no learning curve required, and can export to .wav, .mp3, and MIDI. Great user interface, and adding plug-ins is no hassle at all. Simple to use, but extremely powerful.
