I am new and very keen. which kit should i get. C++? VBasic? Delphi? Which is best for a newbie. It needs a book. Also is microsoft or Borland better. Is basic ''proper'' programming i heard that it wasn''t. Which kit is best for easy use of graphics and best for making games? How do i get started. How do i make graphics, is a program included with the kits or do i need something extra (Direct3d or something?). As you can tell i''ve had no experience. Please help. P.S. Any good books for the best programing kits? Which should i buy?
Here's a link to a discussion about wich language you should learn first.

"Is basic 'proper'programming i heard that it wasn't."
Basic is good for learning the basics () of programming.

"Which kit is best for easy use of graphics and best for making games?"
For easy graphics use something like FastGraph.

"How do i get started"
