A perspective grid paint program ???
Hi,
I''m just wondering if there is any kind of a paint program (for as long as it can create lines and curves, then that''s fine) that produces a perspective grid where you can adjust the eye level and set vanishing points in it and the grid automatically updates itself cause when I''m drawing like a city scenery where there are lots of buildings with different vanishing points, it really takes a lot of time just making all those lines (especially when you want the buildings to have precise measurements) than the time you spent in actually drawing the buildings. If there''s anything that will help me produce a grid really fast will really help. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
I''m working on a little inking program in my spare time that lets the user draw with bezier curves and thus ''ink'' lined drawings (typically, I would scan an image in, and then use it as a ''source image''... though you can of course draw freely in the app). A perspective multi-grid tool might be useful if I can build an intuitive UI for it.

I''d be interested in hearing your thoughts perhaps on how this should be implemented. (I haven''t really started adding perspective to my drawings yet, and only have a rough idea how to use vanishing points. Would a couple 3D grids work... a kind of ''floor'' and ''ceiling'' system?)

Either Painter or Photoshop has that feature. But buying either program just for that feature would be costly. There are a couple tutorials here, one which shows you how to create the grid yourself.
Hi again,
I actually have Painter and Photoshop. Painter has a built in perspective grid that closely resembles what I want except for the fact that it only uses one point perspective but it''s very flexible since you can rellocate the grids anywhere you want but Photoshop doesn''t have any so that kinda suck. I''ve seen the tutorial for making your own grid but it''s really time consuming. Thanks for that anyway.
