Caffein>> You got it to work with VC? What version of VC have you got?
I''m getting VC++6.0 tomorrow. No more DJGPP for me
Altought it was a great compiler.
Realy sad that DOS is dying that fast. DOS was so much better then Windows. Same with all the games to DOS:
WarCraft, C&C, Transportation Tychoon, Sim City 2000 And all those classics.
To Windows it only comes more and more 3D RTS games, and FPS.
That ll uses OpenGL or D3D.

I hope not, I can't compete with you anyway
And it's not sad that DOS is dying, it's good! Doesn't anyone remember the hassle of getting a DOS game to work? Free XMS/EMS memory, load drivers in config.sys, it's much better in Windows with PnP!

I'm reminded of the day my daughter came in, looked over my shoulder at some Perl 4 code, and said, "What is that, swearing?" - Larry Wall
A lot of you have said that you hope DOS goes away and never comes back. I don''t hope so, ''cos without DOS, servicing a windows box is a pain in the ass...
Maybe the good people at MS could think of something better than DOS? I agree that there must be some sort of console that isn't tied to the Windows GUI, but does it have to be DOS?

They better not remove dos compatibility. I want to play my old DOS games still.
