this is prob really stupid to most of you , but recently I have been readgin alot of threads about people not knowing what pointers are or they dont know how to use them or what they are for. And I just thought of a nice way to tell them what they do This is like a pointer this html link is like a pointer it isnt the actual webpage for gamedev.net but it points to where it is located on the world wide web like a pointer points to where the info is located on the computer "Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time" - Monty Python and the Holy Grail themGames Productions

that seems obvious to people who know how pointers work, but i'm not sure that would have helped me much when I still didn't.

anyway it's much more like a <FRAME> tag.
