more descriptive titles:
- programmers capable of being fed through a tube.
- artists who can recreate the same graphic over and over until
the person asking for it is satisfied or gives up.
- pizza getter guy.
- musician/game designers who work days on the game music, bragging how amazing it will be, suddenly tell you that _the_ game will be using stock music.
- experienced proffesional experts who have no talent nor experience.
- booze hound.
haha, hilarious, but today''s games need these types of ppl to create the game...
programmers - (but now there''s not such a high need for them, jsut buy some fancy engine like Quake3, or unreal)
artists
- 3d modellers
- 2d artists / texture artists
- level designers
(now artists are in much highier demand from what i''ve seen)
musicians / sound engineers / a guy that can bang a microphone against various surfaces
- voice actors too?
marketing ppl - they''re the one''s that stuff up the games nowadays
secretary / public relations - the only one that actually talks to "normal" people
designers - ppl who sit in a chair all day saying that the game will be great...
work experience ppl - the one''s that do the work that noone else wants to touch.
game testers - aka random ppl on the net that want to sell yer game to outside sources
SIDE NOTE: I actually wanted to seriously write this one up, but I kinda got side tracked, no offence noted to anyone !

Programmers not needed!? Developing a game is most certainly not just a matter of buying an engine and adding new models and such. And what''s more, a lot of developers who buy 3rd-party engines for their games end up re-working the engines to a considerable degree. For example, Raven Software''s Star Trek shooter that came out not too long ago. It uses the Quake III engine, but they tore down a lot of it first; it''s heavily modified. Anyway, I''m just rambling pointlessly now...
If you can ever accurately say that people don''t need programmers very much, it will be a sad, sad day for the game development industry.

Oh yeah, and if you want the *full* list a company needs for getting games on the market, don''t forget ancillary people like lawyers. ::shudder::

And lets not forget the guy that gets hired to break the arms of the programmer working on a similar game for another games group/company. So that yours can come out first..

Daemin was kidding ( i hope so !).
You wont be able to make any game without a programmer! *g*
Sure you can modify all the Quake3 Models and Levels and the menus and everything, but would u call that a new game? *G*G* *ROFL*
and yes, we've got a Project Leader in our group... it's nice to have someone that coordinates everything, correct? (greetings to Charlie McSow!)
