hi Guys, I have been toying with the idea of writing a chat room type game and intergrate into a website. now what should I use? I am thinking flash or java or director for the client side but the server side has got me stumped. Most webserver hosts frown apon chat scripts as they are processor intensive. I don''t have a enough money to run my own server somewhere so I need to rely on renting something cheap. I don''t want to write a bespoke server app for this if there is some thing out there that I could use. I suppose the real problem is having over a 1000 clients connected is gonna be taxing on what ever I use.
