3d Space Stuff

I was pondering the other day, and although I''m not used to 3d programming at ALL, I wondered how an editor like WorldCraft finds holes (leaks) in your level. Something to do with BSP trees or something else I have no idea about, or just a tremendous amount of "if''ing", hehe. I mean, what if I WANTED the hole there (like a door), it doesn''t complain.......agh....it blows my mind! I''m not about to go and program one of these things based on this information soley, I just wondered how they worked. Dare wa neko o koroshiteimasuka? (Ha! Learn Nihongo!)

I think there''s a way of doing it, by adding the angles together, that end up in 1 vertex. hey, u really made me think about it....
that will keep me busy for the next few days. ;-)
