Hello again, I''ve got some lovely textures that are currently .mat files and I want to use them with directx... anyone know how?
arent .mat files used in jedi knight? i think there are file converters available online. search some jedi knight sites.

dunno about that, I use them in bryce. Can I use the jedi knight stuff to convert them anyway?
It''s a different format. You need to use .fx files if you want to deal with pixel/vertex shaders in a realtime setting. If you''re on an nVidia card, they''ve got a shader builder, don''t remember the name, and if you''re on ATI they''ve got RenderMonkey. Both are free. Go at ''em!
