I am trying to get started with a project in linux, but so far I was not succesful in finding tutorials for OpenGL. I just want to make a simple "hello world" program in OpenGL. Maybe a cube spinning, or just a square. Anybody can point me to something like this? An OpenGL in linux HowTo (starting from level 0). Thank you

NeHe has basic OpenGL tutorials. IIRC, most of the lessons have been ported to Linux.

You''ll probably want to look into the free SDL library. NeHE''s tutorials have been ported to Linux in multiple forms, including with SDL. However, to get a basic framework working, you may want to look at SDL''s tutorials, because the NeHE ports are only code, not tutorials. Once you have the basic framework, though, you can use NeHE''s tutorials if you want to learn OpenGL.
