Hi all, as you may or may not know, i''m currently doing an animation degree at university. Now the software that we get taught to use is 3dsMAX 5, which i have a student education version of, but i''m also doing an evening class in Maya. We have Maya at uni for use on the evening classes, but the daytime lecturers only know how to teach MAX and i''d really like to bring my Maya skills up to scratch (especially as next year is character based and i find Mayas joint/bone/rigging system a lot easier to get on with than MAX) so, can anyone recommend any good books to learn Maya with? many thanks
I use:

Maya 4.5 Savvy
By John Kundert-Gibbs & Peter Lee

And

MAYA Character Animation
Sophisticated Modeling and Animation Techniques
By Jae-jin Choi

There''s probably a "Maya 5.0 Savvy" book too, but 4.5 and 5.0 are similar enough that you can learn most anything you need to from the earlier book.
