Hey, I was wondering if any of you guys had some good recommendations for a windows software installer to use for my project? I am basically looking for something that is professional looking, easy to set up, but with all the necessary features( uninstaller, shortcut setup, etc. ) while being either freeware or at least inexpensive. Check out yesterdays gamedev.net news section. Apparently Nullsoft released an install program as open source called Super Pimp install System. It sounds like it might be good and it''s free!

My friend is coding an installer at the moment - it is not bug-free, yet, but it will be very cool, when it is complete.

I''m actually using it at work for our expensive commercial products (explicitly allowed in the license) because it''s simpler than commercial installation products like InstallShield. I recommend the extensions too, linked on that page.

That new NullSoft installer is nice. I was right in the middle of coding my own installer when I saw the news blip. Get it!

Thanks for the advise..I am getting a hang of nullsofts installer and so far it is really cool.

Does anyone know if there is a place to find more information or examples for it? I got a pretty basic install application going, but would like to add more functionality to it.
