civ2 is my favourite.
I wonder, whether colorkeying is supported in hardware.
If I checked all the pixels by pixels, would it be
_much_ slower?

Ok, your solution is really simple, in that image, make the 4 gray corners purple like the purple in the center diamond, thats it! You dont need to see the diamond structure at all and have absolutely no need for it in your image.

Yup the anonymous poster is correct all you need is the bananas over top of ONE solid background colour, which will be transparent.
One extra little thing however, you may want to line it up over a diamond tile initially then take out the diamond shape later. Make sense?
Hope you understand!
See ya,
Ben

I knew about the possibility of making it all pink,
but I just wanted to make it look like in civ2 -
more easy to read. Finally, I will probably make
it in Photoshop and I''ll be using layering.
Anyway, I thank you all for your comments, you
helped me to find the right way.
