You could have your code as spagetti as you wanted, all that spagetti gets eaten by the compiler and crapped out in orderly ASM..

I was thinking more about making other parts of the code dependant on the protection code, rather than just a separate bit of code that is badly written. I don''t know how possible it''d be, I''ve never tried, but if someone wanted to remove the protection code, they would have to patch up all it''s dependancies, which would make the task more difficult.
Ok, maybe a bit far fetched, but it might just work.

That''s BS, everyone shops online, just run a secure server. If what you said were true, you could say good bye to e-commerce.

Hi all.

Requiring a credit card as part of your copy protection schema would be the equivalent of requiring a credit card to accept your personal check, and that last one is certainly prohibited by the creditcard company (last time I checked).

If you don''t want to give you credit card even using a secure server, there are other ways to guive it to the vendor. And if you don''t want to guive your credit card number, then you will have to find another way to pay, which defeats the purpose of the credit card.

On the other hand, it is not technicaly necessary to hand you credit card to play an online game (even if it''s a paid service, there are other ways to pay). So at least I never will give credit card to play a game.

We emphasize "gotoless" programming in this company, so constructs like "goto hell" are strictly forbidden.
