Whenever I alt-tab out of my game, it stops responding and I have to use end task on it. When I try to click on it in the taskbar, it doesn''t come up. I''ve tried restoring the surfaces when it is restored, but that doesn''t work. Please help! Check your game logic for the WM_ACTIVATE message -- when you Alt-Tab from your game, you will get this message from windows along with a code telling you if you are gaining or losing the foreground-application focus.

Also, you may want to dig up some of the samples and see how they do it, and how it might be different from the way you are doing it.
