My very own Engine Demo...

It''s really fast. 300+ FPS in 1024x768 res. 400-500 in 640x480/800x600. I''ve got an ATI Rage 3D Pro, 128 mb ram and a PIII 800 Mhz.

Got 160fps on 1600x1200 (Very nice )

Hmmm it doesn''t seem to work. Does it require 3d hardware?
Just wanted to let you know:
I got 8 FPS on my computer at 640 X 480
System stats: 700Mhz PIII, Vodoo 5500, 128 megs of pc133 memory, and a UDMA 66 HD. The only thing that I can figure out is that it had some troubles with my vodoo. I don''t know if there was a problem or something with my computer, but if you need me to try something else let me know.

Sorry for not responding lately, I haven''t been keeping up on the thread.

Paladin: I am doing an engine and game at the same time. I''m trying to do the programming without the exact game specifics in mind. It''s turned out pretty well and I should have the first demo game out in a week or so. I am an amateur, this is the first actual engine I''ve ever tried to make, and my first endevour with DirectX.

People with problems: I haven''t a clue what is going on . Check the log.txt file after the game has run to see if something went wrong. The engine has really bad error checking right now, I''ll make it better when time allows.

Unfortunatly, I''ve just added collision detection, and it really slows down when any entities are present. Luckily there shouldn''t be more than 20 or 30 entites in existance in regular use. I''ll upload the game when it''s done...

I''ve got 555 encoding on my 16-bit color also. Everything is too purple. It runs about 74 fps vsync disabled on my PC celeron 366 MHz, ATI Rage 2 Megabytes VRAM, 64 megabytes system ram, in resolution 640x480. However, with many entites the framerate drops to 25 fps. VSync on and framerate 72fps.
