what data should I fill a sound buffer with to get silence? If I fill it with zero''d memory I get a very high pitch sound... 16bit 22khz sound btw. cheers. | - My (new) little website - | - email me - |
Zero. You should not get a high pitched sound! Even if the data was type float, the zeroes would be silence. Perhaps the sound is coming from another channel, or interferece, or perhaps you are not wiping the buffer correctly.
