Hi, while playing games and waching demos i always thought low resolutions had their charms, it always looks better somehow or has a better mood in it. Also the higher framerate is somewhat pleasant . I was wondering if more people feel about low resolutions this way or that it''s just me .
Should''ve gone to specsavers.

Hehe, i am serious actually , it counts for not all games and demos but just a few, i think only for the more colored ones (like quake 3 but not UT).
I usually get a high enough framerate running at 1280x1024.

Unless of course you are playing Halo then its 640x480 @ 7fps, what a waste of money that was.
Hehe, i guess it''s just me then, never mind .

Low resolutions have a certain nostalgic appeal. I remember the days when we had 320x200 pixels - and were glad of it! Still, 1024x768 at 70fps with full screen anti-aliasing is the business.
The PS2 runs on 640x480 and also maintains high quality... it`s pretty interesting to see how the TV makes it so... good-looking, I think it`s because of the Fast Blur of the TV, I first saw in action on the Sega Mega Drive emulators, you can`t play a game near the monitor with that, and also the PSX->PC games have theyre difference... it`s not so pixel-feathered on the PC, just my opinion.

TVs are much lower resolution, try attaching your pc to it and reading the fonts on it, despite the surface of the tv being larger it''s (nearly) impossible. That''s why game consoles can still be cheap, you can squeeze a lot more out of a chip at 640*480 than at 1024*768
A tv''s resolution is about 730 x (3/4)yh of it, but as it''s blurred on most tv''s the image becomes unclear.
