Easy XBox programming
Will there be some type of easy access to programming the xbox for game programming hobbyists?
I severely doubt it. Microsoft will want to take it the way of Sega and Sony and license specific companies to produce material for it.
They have already ''hired'' Bungie for this purpose.
If you want a real hobbiest console system, check out the new Linux console which will be appearing around spring 2001. They will allow open source material to be produced on it for free, or commerical projects for a cut of the unit sales. I imagine they will have some quality control over the software produced however - you would need to meet certain standards.

A new Linux console? Where can I read about this?

I think Indrema should hire me to be their marketing rep.

You are doing this much for free, let alone what you would do if they paid you... hehehehehe . And thank you for the links.

PS: By the way, why they have a link captioned "Order now" if you can't even pre-order it? The link only takes you to a place to put you contact info so they can send you info on the product availability.

We emphasize "gotoless" programming in this company, so constructs like "goto hell" are strictly forbidden.
Well i cant answer for them (as they dont employ me yet ) But i would imagine that half the battle with sales and marketing is to get the customer to the front door (the web site). Once they''re there, to lose them would be a crime - so as they dont actually have a product you can buy yet, the next best thing is taking your name so they can call back interested people later (increased sales potential).
Just my personal opinion.
too right - i am untapped potential!
and you''re welcome.
To Indrema: make me a good salary offer and i''m yours - dont stint on the trailing zeros.
