How do people create the concept art for games? For example the box covers for Warcraft 3 were breathtaking and it seems impossible to draw. How do they draw stuff like that? Thanks

Yeah, but do they use specific software? Or is it really all hand drawn. I suppose Adobe Photoshop would be pretty popular for designers but I''m really not sure how much easier it would make it.

It''s both. Lots of concept artists use a drawing tablet hooked up to the computer, and then draw or paint in programs like Adobe Photoshop or Corel Painter.

Photoshop and Painter make it easy and quick to create colored illustrations, because of things like the undo button and no drying time. Inks and oil paints take more skill and time to use.
Thanks for the response. Yes I suppose they have a variety of special hardware for the work they do and there is probably a lot of tricks they learn in school.
