It''s topics like this that make me think this website is just a ruse for Microsoft looking to steal my game ideas.
Not that I''m accusing you of anything-- I''m just being paranoid.
In the lovable words of Martin Lawrence, “Pssssssss, what the problem is?”
Hmm… maybe I should tell you of my background in computing and you’d have a different idea? During the period of 1987 through 1995 I was an Amigan (that’s well beyond C= collapse and should tell you something of my deep sentiment for the big man at Microsoft).
Secondly, I seriously doubt that anyone, including Microsoft Games needs to scour message boards looking for ideas to steal – especially board games!
This was/is meant to be a thought provoking experiment. An exercise to design a game, given a finite number of components.
I was feeling very good about this post – out of the 10 post (minus those that I have made) each one was constructive and followed the general guidelines that I had hoped this post could follow. Heck, for that matter I even posted my design. Yet, you have decided that someone is going to steal your game design – in fact you’ve in as much accused me of conspiring with Microsoft in that effort.
At some point you need to stop being so paranoid about any thoughts or ideas that you have and post them for others to review and critique – otherwise you will never learn – and I think that is why each of us post and contribute to this site.
If it makes you feel better I’ll ask a moderator to close/lock this thread – in an effort to keep others from giving up the board game designs to large American (or should I say International) corporations.
