When I view flash animations in Linux, the sound seems to be off sync by about half a second. I''ve heard someone else mentioning the same thing, so it can not be just me. Has anyone found a workaround/fix for this? Or is there something wrong with my settings?

are you using a sound server such as esd or artsd?

AFAIK (I don''t use them) KDE and GNOME start esd and artsd. So if you''re using one of them, you are likely to be running either one.
