I drew this up today; just something I would throw onto the splash / main screen of any games that I actually finish Obviously the "company" in the title of the thread is in quotes, as it is not for a company in the legal sense. It''s meant to be simple and cartoony, as seen by the simple color and thick lines. It''s based off the Warcraft design of a Peon (hence my name), though you can think of it as a generic fantasy Orc as well. I''m not looking for any criticims in particular; just throw out what you think of it. It looks good. I mean, it gets the job done if thats what your looking for I too have been drawing up some designs for my company. Its called "Fire Storm Interactive". I'll post them later.........

Also, maybe a little more color in your logo. Like the background. Just a thought......

I see this as a fine logo for a gaming company simply because of its nature. A lot of gaming companies have some silly or cartoonish logos so I think this should do for your purpose.

Not at all, go for it I''m all for seeing what you come up with. The font was kind of an after thought; the original version has no gray box, and no text. I''ve always been partial to the old fonts. If you do come up with something though, post it please, I''d like to see I can even post the original that is 512x512 or so, if that helps.

Thanks all around for the comments so far. I tried making the orc head more pixelated, but too be honest, I''m not sure how I''d do it. I ran it through some filters to see if anything satisfactory came out of it, but nothing did. I like the idea though, so if I ever get the patience, maybe I can redraw it pixel by pixel or something and get that look

Might there be a trademark issue with Blizzard/WarCraft (i.e. orcish peons)?

Lucidium: Awesome, wow! I love both of them! The pixelated one won''t do as a logo I think, though I think the smaller version would be great for a 40x40 avatar when they roll out the new forums. I love what you''ve done with the shading on the second, though. The shading on your version looks much better than the shading I put on mine. It has a nice celshaded look to it. Care to share how you did them? I don''t want to use your logo because I''m the kind of guy that likes to "reinvent" the wheel, but I''d like be able to make a similar look.

As far as copyrights go... yea... it would be a shame if it became an issue, since I''ve had my ''Peon'' alias since I first got the internet in like sixth grade I guess I''m not sure how it would work. Peon can''t be copyrighted by itself, and neither can the orc design, but together it might be a problem, who knows. I''m sure I could come up with a similar, clever name to get around a copyright if someone was upset about copoyright infringement though. Also, hopefully it would be less of an issue anyway because I won''t be making any money off my games.
